Obituary For Mark Quintin Ives

Mark Quintin Ives, 65, of Waverly, MO, passed away at his home on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born on July 23, 1957, in Windsor, MO, the son of Burton Ives (Patricia), who resides in Sedalia, and Shirley (Hessefort) Ives, who preceded him in death.

Mark graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1975. He attended State Fair Community College. Mark retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2019 after 43 years of service. He was currently self-employed and CEO of Kram, LLC.

Mark enjoyed playing golf, gardening, cooking, listening to his vinyl record collection, reading, listening to karaoke, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

Along with his father, Mark is survived by six children, Heather (Jason) Holtmeyer of Jefferson City, MO, Lori (Josh) Allee of Kingsville, MO, Quintin Ives (Corina) of Kirksville, MO, Dallas Davis of Wagoner, OK, Dana Ives of Portland, OR, and Brett Ives (Sydney) of St. Louis, MO; grandkids, Beau Distler, Hunter Beazley, Kegan Beazley and Braden Allee; siblings, Pamela (Doug) Hill of Centertown, MO, Bart (Mary) Ives of Morgantown, WV, Troy (Debbie) Ives of Sedalia, MO, and Clifford (Kim) Ives of Springfield, MO; step-siblings, Gary Farr of Sedalia, Bob Farr of Columbia, MO, and Joe Farr of Fritch, TX; great-grandson, Easton Distler, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his mother, Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herman and Lucille Tucker Hessefort; paternal grandparents, Milo and Mayme Ives; and a step-daughter, LaKrista Griffin.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Reverend Sally DeMasters officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The burial will be held at Cole Camp Cemetery, Cole Camp, MO, at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scout Troop 243 in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
