Myra Lea George, 81, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Alto Overland Park Assisted Living in Overland Park, KS. She was born on October 9, 1944, in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Richard Robert Jenkins II and Edna Bell (Wheatly) Jenkins, who preceded her in death.

Myra was deeply rooted in her faith. She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sedalia for many years and later became a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She took great pride in serving her community, especially through volunteering in the Bothwell Hospital Gift Shop, where she enjoyed greeting visitors and spreading kindness.

Myra cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a joyful spirit and loved to sing and dance, karaoke nights were among her favorite pastimes. She also enjoyed playing cards with the local singles group and spending evenings listening to music and dancing at the Sedalia Moose Lodge, where she had been a longtime member and was honored with her own special parking spot.

At home, Myra found joy in tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, particularly her strawberries and tomatoes. She was well known for her delicious cookies and her famous chocolate sheet cake, which she lovingly made for family birthdays. She treasured hosting holiday gatherings, especially Easter and Christmas, and her grandchildren will forever remember her unforgettable Easter egg hunts.

Myra is survived by three daughters, Pamela Lea Park (Todd Kleinfelder) of Millcreek, UT, Nancy Y. Slebos (Ryan) of Freeman, MO, and Jennifer Wiseman (Kevin Hardy) of Sedalia, MO; a son, David B. Hill of Lincoln, MO; eleven grandchildren: Amy, Teris, Tiffany, Melanie, Shane, Jon, Christopher, Hannah, Brittany, Jordan, and Jasmine; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Jenkins (Beth) of Jefferson City, MO; three sisters, Rita Morris of Las Vegas, NV, Linda Bolin (Butch) of Leavenworth, KS, and Caroline Clancy of Sedalia, MO; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Myra was preceded in death by a son, LeRoy Hill; a sister, Jeanne Anne Jenkins; and a brother-in-law, Tom Clancy.
