Nancy Lee Shelledy

Nancy Lee Shelledy, 77, of Lees Summit, MO, formerly of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at her home in Lees Summit. She was born on October 25, 1944, in Kansas City, KS.

On May 31, 1976, in Miami, OK she was united in marriage to Jackie Ray George Shelledy, who resides in the home.

Nancy attended Argentine High School in Kansas City, KS; She continued her education at the University of Missouri Law School graduating with her JD in 1983. After graduation she went to work for Morrison Hecker Law Firm in Kansas City. Nancy loved her family and especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by two daughters, Sandy Maddy of Blue Springs, MO and Sally Birdsong of Independence, MO; three step children, Jancey Shelledy Taylor (John) of Sunrise Beach, MO, Jenein Sinclair (Steve) of Sedalia, and Jackie Shelledy (Lisa) of Sedalia; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers.

A private family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Salvation Army in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
