Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith

Nathan Merdick Paxton Smith, 29, of Sedalia, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Greenville, IL.

Nathan was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He had a kind heart, a bright spirit, and a deep love for those closest to him. His greatest joy was his son, Rylie Smith (Chelsea Archambault), whom he adored.

He is survived by his mother, Amy Ward Karigan; his brother, Caleb Jones (Becky); his cherished niece and nephew, Skye and Max; his best friend and chosen brother, Hayden Rhorer; step sister, Katey Becker; and his father, Dwight "Doug" Smith. Nathan will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Nathan's memory.

Arrangements are under the care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
