Obituary For Norman Carl Lange

Norman Carl Lange, 85, of Sedalia, MO passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on January 23, 1936 in Sweet Springs, MO the son of Emil Lange Sr. and Helen (Rugen) Lange, who preceded him in death.

On December 23, 1956 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Mary Fornshell who preceded in death in 2004. On June 21, 2006 in Sedalia, MO he was united in marriage to Paula Haynes, who resides in the home.

Carl worked for the Sedalia Water Department for 41 years retiring in January of 1998. He enjoyed watching old western movies, play solitaire, working in the yard and gardening.

In addition to his wife he is survived six children, Donnie Lange (Debbie), Rickey Lange (Cathy), Martie Hogan (Bill), Carla Allison (Ron), Marvalee Lange, and Marelena Lange; three step children, Christopher Ford, Douglas Shoemaker (Kathy), and Kimberley Cobb (Desmond); a sister, Ella Mae Sprinkle; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Mellissa Ann Shoemaker; three brothers, Emil, Kenny, and Cecil Lange; and a sister, Helen Lange.

A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Carl in care of the funeral chapel.
