Oswaldo "Eddie" Quinones Sr., 82, of Knob Noster passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 16, 1939 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico the son of Rafael Vasquez and Eliza Quinones who preceded him in death.
On January 7, 2019 in Knob Noster, MO he was united in marriage to Carmen Torres-Quinones, who resides in the home.
Oswaldo was a longtime native of Bronx, New York where he resided with his wife. He was a truck driver in the food industry for one of the biggest food distributors on the east coast for over 30 years. He enjoyed attending and gambling on horse races with his right hand man, Albert. He loved sports and was passionate about his New York Mets and Jets. In 2017 Oswaldo and Carmen relocated to Missouri to be with their son Joseph and grandchildren. Oswaldo battled various types of cancer for many years which eventually took his life, after a long fight.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Joseph Quinones (Alescia) of Knob Noster; three grandchildren, Shawn, Andres, and Gabriela; and two brothers and three sisters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Oswaldo Quinones Jr.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Father David Veit officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with a reading of the Rosary to follow until service time.
Urn bearer will be Alberto Cortez.
