Obituary For Patricia Lawson

Patricia S Lawson, 79, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Loving Arms Memory Care and Assisted Living, Sedalia. She was born on May 30, 1942 in Sedalia, the daughter of Marion Oscar Hart and Vallie (Kirkpatrick) Hart, who preceded her in death.

On September 1, 1995, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to James M. Lawson, who resides in the home.

At a young age, Patricia was baptized at First Baptist Church, Sedalia and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sedalia. Patricia enjoyed gardening, oil painting, square dancing, and rollerskating. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Sheri Andrew (Vince) of Boonville, MO, Timothy Stephens (Sandra) of Green Ridge, MO, and James Lee Stephens of Jefferson City, MO; two step-children, Jamie Poppinga and James M. Lawson, II, both of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Nathan, Ashley, Casey, Morgan, and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Jamison, and Adelyn; two step-grandchildren, Whitney and Courtney; two step-great grandchildren, Adam and Owen; two sisters, Earlene Knight of Sedalia and Edith Woods of Florida; a brother, Jim Hart of Smithton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Anita Nadler, Donna Grose, Betty Gamber, and Ruth McKee; and four brothers, Richard, Kenneth, Bill, and Marion Loyd Hart.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Satterwhite officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

Friends and family may make memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels in care of Rea, Sedalia.
