Rebecca Lynne Thomas

Rebecca Lynne Thomas, 61, of rural Sedalia, MO, passed away May 22, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1961 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Buddy Moore and Anna Ruth (King) Moore, who preceded her in death.

Along with her companion, Dugan Layton, Rebecca is survived by a son, Ryan Webb of Warsaw, MO; two brothers, Mike Moore (Kate) of Broomfield, CO and Richard Moore (Laura) of Sedalia; a sister, Glynda Taylor of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Rebecca was raised in Sedalia, MO and graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1979. She later continued her education earning an accounting degree from SFCC during 2003 while working as an accountant for Alcan Cable. Most recently, Rebecca retired as a district manager for Key Management Properties in Springfield, MO. She had many great relationships throughout life (formed through family, school, work, and church) affecting countless lives in positive ways. While Rebecca loved the outdoors in general, her most enjoyable time was spent with her family and friends. She was known to be a generous person and loved to help those around her while brightening their day. Some of her favorite hobbies included fishing, gardening, cooking, riding motorcycles and attending concerts. Rebecca was a kind and caring individual who will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to know and love her.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the funeral chapel.

Honorary bearers will be Dave Moore, Jason Moore, Lincoln Moore, and Younger Layton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
