Richard A. Jones

Richard A. Jones, 70, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. He was born on March 27, 1953, in Sedalia, the son of Daniel R. Jones and Frances L. (Paxton) Jones, who preceded him in death.

Richard was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a construction carpenter by trade. He was known for his custom carpentry skills and could make or repair anything. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley; he loved his dogs and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Tammi Jones, Shannan Jones, Michelle Hall, Richard A. Taber, and step-son, Corey Taber

; two brothers, Ronald Jones, and Reginald Jones; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Hughes, Kristi Tittsworth, Amanda Meyer, Shyanne Meyer, Ashley Jones, Jack Morgan, and Jessica Jones; nine great-grandchildren, Hailey Hughes, Shylah Meyer, Michelle Hall, Braydon Coonce, Peyton Jones, Penelope Jones, Isaiah Hughes, Leilani Sims, and Satari Sims; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be announced at a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
