Richard D. Miller, 63, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the home of his aunt, Sharon Doll, in Sedalia. He was born on December 8, 1960, in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Billy Miller and Alberta (Arnold) Miller, who both preceded him in death.

Richard, along with his twin brother, Roy, worked in partnership with their uncles, Albert and Ernest Arnold, in the family farming business. Later, Richard and Roy owned and operated a lawn care service together until Roy's passing in 2020.

Richard enjoyed woodworking, shopping at Menards and Walmart, and taking drives along the country backroads. He and Roy were especially close throughout their lives. It was often said that when you saw one, you saw the other, and they were even known for wearing the same shirt.

Richard is survived by two uncles, Ernest Arnold and Albert Arnold; two aunts, Catherine Arnold and Sharon Doll, all of Sedalia; and cousins, Becky Gonzalaz of Sedalia and Lee Arnold of Kansas City.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his twin brother, Roy Miller; an uncle, J.E. Arnold; an aunt, Mary Ann Burford; and a cousin, Juanita Burford.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Candace Fowler officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Potter Cemetery at a later date.
