Robert Gary Simmons

Robert Gary Simmons, 72, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at his home in Sedalia. He was born on December 21, 1950, in Sedalia, the son of Raymond Simmons and Beulah Bechtel, who preceded him in death.

On August 17, 1969, in La Monte, MO, he was united in marriage to Rita Kay Pearl, who preceded him in death on July 2, 2017.

Robert graduated from Cole Camp High School in 1969. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He spent most of his working life working for Alcolac. He retired from there in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, and going to his grandkids ballgames.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Chelle Simmons of Sedalia; two sons, Rob Simmons and his wife Michelle of Warsaw and Rich Simmons and his wife Ashley of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Shannon, Brittany, Zach, Lane, and Colt; and a great-granddaughter, Lanie.

Besides his wife and parents, Robert is preceded in death by three brothers, Don Simmons, Raymond Simmons Jr., and Kenneth Simmons, and one sister, Pat Acherman.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.
