Robert Preston Tucker

Robert Preston Tucker, 86, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at his home surrounded by family on April 30, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1939, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Albert Preston and Lenora Gertrude (Ryan) Tucker, who preceded him in death.

On December 23, 1992, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Janet Kay (Jones) Tucker, who preceded him in death on January 19, 2025.

Bob was a farmer for his entire life. He also worked in sales at Trans Central Suppliers Inc. for many years and owned C.J.'s Radiator Shop. In his free time, he enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved engaging in conversations and could talk about anything with anyone. Bob was always ready with a good joke and had a great sense of humor.

Bob is survived by eight children Jason (Heidi) Schmidt, Dustin (Emily) Schmidt, Casey Schmidt (Grant Leeka), Jarrett (Ashley) Tucker, all of Sedalia, Jeff Tucker of Green Ridge, MO, Tim Draper of Holden, MO, Tamara Agustin, and Dianna Marcum; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Mayfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. Schmidt Jr.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marilyn Grechus officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at a later date at McKee Chapel Cemetery, Green Ridge, MO.

Honorary bearers will be Louis Dickman, Bill Taylor, Larry Cloud, David Gerken, Lowell Mayfield, and Chester Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the McKee Chapel Cemetery Association, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
