Obituary For Robin Lee Wallace

Robin Lee Wallace, 60, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, from the result of a motor vehicle accident in Sedalia. She was born on October 25, 1962, in Tucson, AZ, the daughter of David West George, who preceded her in death, and Lois (Whitson) George, who resides in Branson, MO.

In 1983, she married Tommy Allen Wallace, Sr. They were married for 15 years and blessed with four children.

From Tucson, Robin moved to Amarillo, where she met Tommy. She followed him as his job moved him to Kansas and later to Missouri. When she got to Missouri, they didn't have enough money for an apartment right away, so they lived in a campground in Warsaw (Berrybend). She never minded, though, because she loved the lake. She finally moved to Sedalia and started working at Country Kitchen and Rival, where she worked for years. When Rival shut down, she moved to Duke and later to Tyson, where she loved her job and was happy.

Robin loved being outdoors, camping, and kayaking. She loved her sundresses and pool and was always so proud of it. She had a hard life and many struggles but never let them bear her down. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor!! She loved her grandchildren more than life. She was always so happy and always smiling. She would tell me, "No one can take that smile from you." She always put her heart into her work. She worked at Tyson and would always call and talk about her day.

She embodied the spirit of the oak. Like an oak tree, the weather would buffet the tree. It would sway with what the world dealt, but the oak tree would stand until the day it couldn't. She weathered many storms and would still be there. Of course, it would affect her, but she still stood through the many storms.

In addition to her mother, Lois George, Robin is survived by a daughter Amber Wallace (Darrell Slaughter, Jr.) of Marshall, MO; three sons, Tommy Allen Wallace, Jr. of Sedalia, Ricardo Miguel Montoya (Teresa) of Sedalia, and Daniel Wallace of Sedalia; a stepson, Nick Wallace; ten grandchildren, Sydney, Isaac, Angel, Izzabella, Brenden, Karlee, Elijah "George," Caitie, Beau, and Cameron; a soon to be great-granddaughter; two brothers, Brian George of Sedalia, and Steven George of Branson, MO;

In addition to her father, Robin was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary George and Patti George, and a brother, David George.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral chapel.

Honorary bearers will be Charles Pritchard, Bonnie Allen, Tom Horn, and Joyce Bennett.
