Rochelle "Chelle" Lynn Simmons, 54, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born February 7, 1972, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Gary Simmons and Rita Kay (Pearl) Simmons, who both preceded her in death.
Chelle was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1990. She later continued her education at Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri. Chelle was a dedicated employee of Walmart for 23 years, where she formed many lifelong friendships. In recent years, she lovingly cared for her parents prior to their passing.
Chelle was a faithful member of LifePointe Church in Sedalia and was active in the Women's Ministry. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved all things cooking and party planning. If Chelle knew your birthday, she never forgot to wish you a happy birthday. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends and loved them deeply.
Chelle is survived by two brothers, Rob Simmons and wife Michelle, of Warsaw, and Rich Simmons and wife Ashley, of Sedalia; five nieces and nephews, Shannon Ogden, Brittany Simmons, Zach Simmons, Lane Simmons, and Colt Simmons; one great-niece, Lanie Carter; as well as many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at LifePointe Church, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.
Honorary bearers will be Hillary Phillips, Jonna Phillips, Taylor Heller, Larae Floding, Grace Scott, Freedom Edwards Neal, and Brooke Wallman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the LifePointe Church Impact Fund, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
