Rodney Lee Foushee

Rodney Lee Foushee, 60, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at his home on Monday, September 30, 2024. He was born on January 4, 1964, in Jackson County, MO, the son of Clarence L. Foushee and Karen O. Brown, who preceded him in death.

On November 10, 2003, in Gravois Mills, MO, he was united in marriage to Gena M. Prater, who resides in the home.

Rod was passionate about riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a passion he channeled into community service by helping organize Easter basket drives and motorcycle rides for the Show-Me Christian Youth Home. He also generously donated bicycles to children during the Christmas season. An avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Rod cherished watching games with his family, but his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Rodney is survived by three sons, Rodney L. Foushee, Jr. (Jess) of Jefferson City, MO, Joshua L. Foushee of Versailles, MO, Justin L. Foushee (Kyra) of Sedalia; a daughter, Sarah Larson (Nicholas) of Kansas City, MO; a stepdaughter, Kayla Weatherby (Reece) of Sedalia; a step-son, Matt Hecktor (Bonita) of Union, MO; eleven grandchildren, Ayden, Kylee, Grace, Dallas, Kaileena, Katrianna, Lilly, August, Colter, Bear, and Rae; two sisters, Roxie Jeno (Scott) of Kansas City, KS, Roslyn Robertson-Cook (Joshua) of Laurie, MO; a brother, Jason Robertson of St. Louis, MO; and other extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends and a final ride will be announced by the family at a later date.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Gena Foushee.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
