Ronald McSorley, 74, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on September 04, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on August 11, 1952, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Orvill McSorley and Thelma Harrison McSorley, who preceded him in death.

On July 15, 1978, in Leonard, Missouri, Ronald was united in marriage to Rhonda Garnett.

Ronald graduated from Shelby County High School in 1970. He loved spending time outdoors, especially deer hunting with his friends. His affection for animals was evident, particularly for his beloved dog, Honey. Ronald never met a stranger and will be fondly remembered for his warm heart and infectious sense of humor.

Ronald is survived by his son Cody McSorley; one aunt, Lena Margaret Fischer; and numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Richard McSorley.

A private burial will be held by the family at a later date.
