Rosa Lee Webb, 87, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. On April 24, 1935, she was born in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Fermon Burton and Arnetta (Darrett) Staten, who preceded her in death.
Rosa was adopted at the age of 3 by Booker Staten, Sr., who preceded her in death. In 1977, Rosa met her life partner, Floyd Fulcher, who resides in the home. In 1971 Rosa moved to Sedalia, MO, where she worked for many years as a Quality Control Inspector for Jensen Manufacturing until her retirement. She later worked for Rivals Manufacturing. Rosa loved being around her family and enjoying good food, music, and drinks. She also had a love for the lottery, playing pick 3. Rosa believed in family first and family unity.
Rosa is survived by eight children, Jackie Temple, Gwen Colton, Regina Taylor, William Staten, Walter Staten, Sr., all of Sedalia, Bessie Staten of Kansas City, MO, Tanya Canty of Norfolk, VA, Voncil Webb of St. Thomas Virgin Islands; 32 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Marie Washington of Kansas City, KS.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by three children, Gary Staten, Christine Staten, and Jack Webb; four brothers, Harold Burton, Booker Staten, Jr., Willie Staten, and Ocie Staten; a grandson, Jeffrey Staten and a great-grandson, Zakari Staten.
Funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Brad Rea officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at the chapel.
The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Jackson, Chiron Webb, Sarandon Staten, Keith Staten, Jordan Webb, Mar'Quoi Staten, Elijah Nash, Rishaud Staten, Walter Staten, Jr., Jadale Staten, Par'Ris Potts, and Shaheed Canty.
Honorary bearers will be Ada Robinson, Lucille Green, Phyllis Franklin Cline, Connie Washington, Katy Briscoe, Brenda Scroggins, and Cheri Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
