Sandra Faye Wray, 74, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born November 4, 1951, in De Soto, Missouri, a daughter of Perry Mason and Doretta (Ashbaugh) Mason, who preceded her in death.
Sandy worked in the telecommunications industry and retired from CenturyLink in Warrensburg. One of her favorite parts of the job was traveling around to collect coins from payphones. Sandy was a thoughtful and caring person who always put others before herself. She never met a stranger and had a special way of making friends wherever she went. She enjoyed visiting with others and truly embraced life through the relationships she built. Sandy especially loved sharing stories about her trips to South Dakota and the Badlands, which was her favorite place to visit.
Sandra is survived by a sister, Marie Kirby (Bill) of Rossville, Tennessee; a brother, Larry Mason of Parnell, Missouri; and other extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Mason and Gary Mason.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on April 27, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the ABC Building, located at 415 Commander Dr., Warrensburg, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
