Sharon Kay Heinaman, 76, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1949, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Otis and Cordelia (Rice) Freedle, who preceded her in death.
On August 18, 1984, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Ronald H. Heinaman, who preceded her in death on January 7, 2018.
A proud graduate of North East High School in Kansas City, Class of 1967, Sharon began her career as a bank teller. She later worked at Mighty Melt in Sedalia, then served as Human Resources Manager at Cook Book Publishers. She concluded her career with Guardsman Security, retiring in 2022.
Sharon was a creative soul who enjoyed crafting floral arrangements, often selling her creations at local craft shows. She was also an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia, Precious Moments figurines, Native American art, NASCAR items, and John Wayne keepsakes. One of her greatest joys was gathering with her family at Truman Dam for 4th of July celebrations, especially watching the fireworks.
Survivors include four daughters: Christina Lor (Bee) of Florence, Lisa Thomas (Garry) of Kingsville, Lori Thomas (David) of Lincoln, and Lindi Brownfield of Sedalia; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Freedle.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor David Bannister officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Gary Summers, Jerry Douglas, Scott Long, and James Robejsek.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Sedalia Animal Shelter, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
