Terry J. Weathers

Terry J Weathers, 72, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on July 16, 1951 in Sedalia, the son of Ramie Weathers and Mary Katherine (Mergen) Weathers, who preceded him in death.

On August 31, 1974, in Concordia, MO, he was united in marriage to Sharon L. Clayton, who resides in the home.

Terry was a 1970 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sedalia. Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Terry was a carpenter by trade. He worked construction at Whiteman Air Force Base. Terry owned and operated Weathers Roofing and Home Improvement in Sedalia.

In addition to his wife, Terry is survived by a son, Terry "T.J." Weathers, Jr. of Holden, MO; a daughter, Jessica Davis (Matt) of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Dalton, Kaden, Maddison, and Drake; two sisters, Mary Lou Gallagher of Bangor, ME, and Ramalee Monsees (Victor) of Mora, MO.

Along with his parents, Terry was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean Weathers, Larry Weathers, and his twin brother, Jerry Weathers; a sister, Theresa "Diane" Lowe; and four nephews, Jeffery Alan Heyer, Billy Wayne Heyer, Michael Gallagher, and Randy Weathers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Chapel.

The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Weathers, Joey Weathers, Faron Crank, Kaden Weathers, Kenny Martin, Omar Lovercamp, Jr., William Matthew Davis, and Drake Matthew Allen Davis.

Honorary bearers will be Maddison West, Michelle Martin, Marie Weathers, Gerri Crank, Mary Ann Russell, Drake Davis, Victoria Turner, and Terri Lynn Lutjen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
