Timothy M. Thomlinson

Timothy M. Thomlinson, 66, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's/dementia, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. He was born on February 8, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of George E. Thomlinson and Wanda J. Bright Thomlinson, who preceded him in death.

Tim was a proud graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Class of 1978. He was a true music enthusiast and especially enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline. In his younger years, Tim enjoyed driving the strip in his "Starsky and Hutch" car, making memories that family and friends would fondly remember. Later in life, he found peace and joy in the simple things, especially walking in the parks, enjoying nature, and watching the birds and squirrels.

Tim will be remembered for the things he loved, the memories he made, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew him.

Tim is survived by two brothers, George W. Thomlinson and his wife, Holly, of Sedalia, and Danny Thomlinson of Altoona, IA; one sister, Rita Ann Brown of Chesterfield, MO; one half-brother, Kenny Wilson and his wife, Judy, of Mercer, MO; one sister-in-law, Barbara Wilson; one son, Matthew Thomlinson and Brittany Kempf of Lee's Summit, MO; two grandsons, Cameron and Alex; his best friend, Rose Wilkerson of California, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Pauline Carpenter and Marlene Wilson; one half-brother, James Wilson; and one sister-in-law, Cheryl Thomlinson.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions in memory of Tim are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
