Obituary For Tressie Vearril Mittenburg

Tressie Vearril Mittenburg, 79, of Sedalia, MO, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home. She was born on September 28, 1944, in Pickering, MO, the daughter of George Robert Cutburth and Velma Lois (Delk) Cutburth, who preceded her in death.

On June 30, 1978, in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to David Mittenburg, who resides in the home.

Tressie Vearril Mittenburg was a loving mother and wife and spent much of her time caring for her family. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia, caring for and spoiling her grandchildren, and taking vacations with the family.

In addition to her husband, Tressie is survived by one brother, Hadley Cutburth of Blue Springs, MO; two daughters, Tracy Adams and her husband Terry Adams of Cole Camp, MO, and Mary Ellen Mittenburg of Sedalia, MO; two grandchildren, Gabe Adams, and Makayla Mittenburg; three other children of the Adams household, Marqual Morris, Makaylah Davis, and Aliester Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Tressie was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters, Buford, Farmer, William, Ellen, Loy, Vivian, Melvina, Bessie, Allison, and Verda, and a few nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rodney Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
