Valmeta P. Luper passed away on July 9, 2024, at her home in Sedalia, surrounded by her family. She was born in Sedalia, MO, on November 11, 1944. She was the daughter of Flora and Kenneth, who both preceded her in death.
On November 4, 1964, she was united in marriage to her husband, Dickie(Dick)Luper, who preceded her in death by just ten days. They had been married to each other for nearly 60 years, and it wasn't a surprise that they passed so close together.
Valmeta's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She worked as a nurse for many years, but her true joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. She also had a passion for travel, often visiting Colorado and spending weekends at the lake.
Valmeta is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Stine (Joe) and Pamela Loomis (Vaughn); three grandsons, Sean Loomis (Anthony), Brett Allen, and Luke Loomis; great-granddaughter Kinsley Allen; and brother Eldred Schrader(Peggy).
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Schrader, and three sisters, Joy Nolting, Kennedean Long, and Della Waterfield.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Stan Jobe officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be Brett Allen, Luke Loomis, Sean Loomis, Anthony Dorsey-Loomis Vaughn Loomis, and Eddie Luper.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
