Vicki L. Powers, 67, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born on October 31, 1956 in Sedalia, the daughter of Carl Powers and Rose Juanita (Waisner), who preceded her in death.

Vicki L. Powers, affectionately known as "Vic," graduated from Smith Cotton High School. She began her career at Pit Stop Cafe working for Bill & Joy Utz after graduation. Additionally, Vicki served in the National Guard - Reserves, dedicating many years to the United States military.

In the 1980s, Vicki relocated to Brunswick, MO, where she worked at Conagra Foods for several years before returning to Sedalia, MO. She concluded her working years at Waterloo Industries, happily retiring.

Vicki was a one-of-a-kind individual; knowing her was a privilege, and being loved by her was an honor. She had a deep affection for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and enjoyed caring for them and capturing their moments through photography.

A significant portion of Vicki's life was spent at dirt tracks throughout the Midwest, where she passionately engaged in racing. Over the decades, she contributed to local tracks, offering her assistance wherever needed, whether flagging cars or providing guidance to drivers.

Vicki cherished her family and friends, actively participating in their lives and celebrating their milestones. She had a keen interest in sports, with a special affinity for the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Traveling was another passion of hers, and she created lasting memories with her loved ones on many trips throughout her life. Vicki took pride in her membership at the Sedalia Moose Lodge and Sedalia Elks Lodge.

With her caring and loving nature, Vicki's impact will endure in the hearts of those she held dear. She was a resilient woman who leaves behind a profound legacy and will be greatly missed.
