Vickie Rae Wasson, 69, of Green Ridge, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home in Green Ridge. She was born on October 13, 1956, in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Norman E. Keele and Marilyn Rae (Looney) Keele, who preceded her in death.
On October 28, 2000, in Sedalia, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Michael J. Wasson, who resides in the home.
Vickie was a proud graduate of Green Ridge High School, Class of 1972, and took great pride in her perfect attendance throughout her school years. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing volleyball and riding horses. She later found joy riding go-carts and four-wheelers alongside her husband, Mike. Vickie loved gardening and especially looked forward to Halloween, her favorite holiday, when she delighted in decorating her yard. She was an avid animal lover of all kinds.
One of Vickie's most prized possessions was her canary yellow 2005 Mustang GT. Above all, she cherished her family. She loved family gatherings and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Vickie is survived by five children: Shawn Marie Fornshell (David) of Nelson, Missouri; Kim Hutchings of Shawnee, Kansas; Nichole Hutchings of Smithton, Missouri; Brandon Hutchings (Sarah) of Shawnee, Kansas; and Ashley Radebaugh (Nate) of Raytown, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: Cody, Kaitlyn, Gabriel, Matthew, Chelsea, Tyler, Knowle, Cooper, Peyton, Parker, Reese, and Lucas; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sheryl Riedl; two brothers, Jerry Keele and Jonny Keele, all of Green Ridge, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Rea Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Parker Smith, Reese Smith, Tyler Neidholdt, Knowle Julander, and Nate Radebaugh.
Memorial contributions may be made to any cancer society, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
