Virginia Ann Esser

Virginia Ann Esser, 70, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 4, 1951 in Sedalia, her parents preceded her in death.

Virginia worked as a nurses aide at Fairview Nursing Home in Sedalia. She retired from State Fair Community College in 2017. Virginia enjoyed watching the Price Is Right and playing Bingo. Virginia enjoyed visiting through text, phone, and video with her best friend Jan Berry. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughter and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two sisters, Vicky Kamphefner and Dianna Lutjen both of Sedalia; a step brother, William Jackson of Sedalia; a step sister, Kathy Showman of Otterville; a grand-daughter, Elizabeth Esser of Sedalia; a nephew, Steven Lutjen (Stefanie Trevino) of Sedalia; three great-grandchildren, Aniyah, Malakai, and Darrion; a great niece, Scarlett; and great nephew, Ayden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Robert Esser.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Chaplin Mary Rowlands officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
