William Stephen Cortright

William Stephen Cortright, 68, of Green Ridge passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born on February 2, 1954 in Kansas City, MO the son of William Cortright and Zelma (Compton) Cortright, who preceded him in death.

Steve worked as a Contract Surveying/Manager at Whiteman Air Force Base, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed collecting war historical memorabilia and restoring cars, especially GTO's. Steve spent his retirement going to swap meets and gun shows, where he met a lot of really good friends.

Survivors include a sister Letitia Blake (Shawn) of Green Ridge; two brothers, David Cortright of Warsaw and Charles Cortright of Racket, MO.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Katherine Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Hinkel officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Harlow, Stephen Harlow, David Cortright, Charles Cortright, Shawn Blake, and Mark Pilley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
