Zakari Staten

Zakari Amir Staten, 1 month, 21 days, of Sedalia, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 9, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on July 18, 2014, in Sedalia, a son of Jamar Staten and Karimah Stone of Sedalia.

Besides his parents, he is survived by paternal grandparents, Kimberly Jackson and Walter Staten, both of Sedalia; maternal grandparents, Grayland Stone, of Kansas City, MO and Soraiyeh Ahmed, of Sedalia; maternal great grandfather, Agha M. Hassan, of Independence, MO; maternal great grandmother Mary McCormick of Waukesha, WI; paternal great grandmother, Rosa Lee Webb, Sedalia, MO; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family of Sedalia Kansas City, and Wisconsin.

A graveside prayer service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Mjr. Mark Haslett officiating.

There will be a private, family-only gathering at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
